Diamonds Tutorial

Materials:
2 tubes
of choice with some diamonds
Font
of choice
Design
elements: diamond frame and ornament or diamond.
Mura’s
Meister – Copies
Flaming
Pear – Swerve
DSB
Flux
Bordermania
Animation
shop
Open
a new image: 600x500
Open
your tubes and design elements.
Colorize
them: 4/17
Resize
them 75%.
Sharpen
twice.
Choose
a light and dark color from the tubes and put your foreground
to Gradient – Linear: 45/1
Copy
your frame to the image.
Duplicate.
Put
1 a bit to the top left and the other one a bit to the
bottom right.
Activate
your magic wand and click in 1 of the frames.
Selection
– Modify – Expand 2.
Add
a new layer and drag it below the frame.
Flood
fill with your dark color.
Add
a new layer.
Copy
and paste 1 of your tubes into the selection.
Deselect.
Repeat
this with your other frame and second tube.
Merge
the 2 frame layers and lock the merged layer.
Merge
the other layers.
Unlock
your frame layer.
Now
you will see there’s a part of the bottom frame showing
that needs to be removed.
Activate
the rectangle selection tool and select that part, hit
delete.
Copy
and paste your other design elements and put them in
a place of your liking.
I used
a tube with 3 diamonds and have put 1 in the top left
corner and 1 in the bottom right corner.
Merge
them with the frame layer.
Add
a new layer and drag it to the bottom.
Flood
fill with your gradient.
Filters:
Mura’s
Meister – Copies – Random
Flaming
Pear – Swerve: 68/44/82
Bordermania
– Instant button 1: all settings at 43
Add
a new layer and add your watermark.
Merge
it with the bottom layer.
You
have 3 layers now:
The
bottom layer with the gradient.
The
second layer with the tubes
The
top layer with the frames.
Activate
the top layer.
Select
all – Float – Defloat.
Duplicate
2x, you have a total of 3 now.
Filters:
DSB
Flux – Bright noise: 35/mix
Layer
1: click on mix once
Layer
2: Click on mix twice
Layer
3: Click on mix 3 times
Duplicate
your tube layer until you also have a total of 3.
Merge
each tube layer with 1 frame layer, making sure that
the frame layer is on top of the tube layer.
Add
a drop shadow to all 3 layers.
Duplicate
your bottom layer until you have a total of 3.
Merge
each bottom layer with 1 of the frame/tube layers, making
sure the bottom layer is on the bottom.
Now
you have 3 completed layers left and we want to glitter
the diamonds of the tubes.
Activate
the top layer.
Activate
the point to point selection tool.
Make
sure it is set to Add (shift) and feather 0.
Select
the parts you want to glitter and sharpen twice.
Keep
selected.
Repeat
the DSB Flux.
Make
sure all layers are unlocked and your top layer active.
Save
as a .psp (animation shop) file.
Open
Animation shop.
Open
your .psp file.
Preview
the animation.
If you
find the tag to big:
Animation
– Resize animation: 75%
Resize
the same in PSP as we still have to make our text.
Edit
– Select all.
Back
to PSP.
Activate
your text tool and find the font of your choice.
Use
your light color as the background color and your dark
color as the foreground color.
Stroke
width to 1.
Write
your text.
Selections
– From vector object.
On your
layer palette – Convert to raster layer.
Duplicate
to a total of 3.
Repeat
the DSB Flux.
Apply
a drop shadow to all 3 layers.
Deselect.
Activate
the top layer.
Edit
– copy.
Back
to AS.
Paste
as a new animation.
Back
to PSP.
Activate
the second text layer.
Edit
– Copy
Paste
after current frame.
Repeat
this with the third text layer.
In AnimationShop.
Now
you have your tag with 3 frames and your text with 3
frames.
Tag:
Edit – select all
Text:
Edit – select all.
Drag
the text in the first frame to the first frame of the
tag.
Release
your mouse button when the text is at the place of your
liking.
The
text is now copied to all 3 frames.
Preview
the animation.
When
satisfied, save as a gif.
