Blending Christmas
Tutorial
Materials:
3 misted
Christmas tubes of choice
2 fonts
of choice
Bordermania
FM
Tile Tools
Xenofex
2
Open
a new image: 600x400
Flood
fill with a light color from your tubes.
Copy
and paste the tubes and arrange them in a nice way on
the left side of the canvas.
Merge
all layers.
Duplicate.
Bottom
layer:
Texture
effects – Sculpture: find a gold colored texture.
Settings:
100/0/20/0/0/315/50/30
Top
layer:
Lower
the opacity to 80.
Filters
– FM Tile Tools – Blend Emboss: default
Merge
Layers
Filters
– Xenofex 2 – Burned edge: default settings and Hollow
edges checked.
Add
a new layer and drag it to the bottom.
Flood
fill with a color from your tubes.
Merge.
Filters
– Bordermania – Instant button 1: all settings at 43.
Activate
your text tool and find the font for your Merry Christmas
text.
Set
your background color to a gold gradient or pattern.
Write
your text and set the blend mode to Luminance (L).
Add
a drop shadow.
Move
it to a nice place on your tubes.
Add
a new layer and put your watermark on it.
Merge.
Find
the font you want to use for your name.
Set
your background to a dark color.
Write
your name.
Image
– Rotate – Free rotate: left/90
Move
it to the right side of your canvas.
Apply
an inner bevel and repeat this once.
Set
the blend mode to Screen.
Save
as a jpg.
