Tag
Eternity

This
tut is made with a shared tag as example below, as someone
asked for it. I don’t know who the creator of the tag
is and I don’t know if there is already a tut for this
tag made. I include the original tag at the bottom of
this tut. If a tut exists and you are the writer, please
contact me.
Materials:
A misted
tube
2 graphics
A gold
gradient
A font
Brushes
of choice
Ulead
Gif fx2
Open
a new image: 400x300 and flood fill it with white.
Put
your foreground color to a gold gradient and close your
background color.
Activate
your rectangle shape tool, width 3 and draw a rectangle
of 120x200
Duplicate
it and move this a little to the bottom and right.
Draw
another rectangle of 90x130 and place this on the left
side.
Activate
your pen tool. Width 3 and draw lines: use the tag as
sample for the placement of the lines.
X out
your bottom layer and merge the others.
Apply
inner bevel: preset metallic with the color on a light
grey. Add a drop shadow.
Resize
your misted tube to a height of 200. Resize with 75%
bicubic and keep doing this until the tube is ca 200.
This way your tube won’t get jagged edges. Copy your
tube to the tag and drag it under the frame layer you
just made.
Activate
your bottom layer and add a new layer. Activate your
brush tool and find a brush that goes well with your
chosen tube and graphics. Choose a nice color from your
tube and apply the brush with it. If needed, lower the
opacity of the brush layer.
Now
is also a good time to add your watermark.
Add
a new layer and add some text or text brushes. X out
your frame layer and merge all others.
Go to
your bottom layer, activate your selection tool and
draw a selection where your animation is going to be
(underneath the small frame). Promote selection to layer
and flood fill it with a light color. Merge it with
your bottom layer. Deselect.
Resize
your 2 graphics to 90x130, in the same way as you did
with the tube.
(If
you don’t animate the tag, you can copy and paste 1
graphic, drag it under the small frame, add your name
and save the tag as a jpg.)
Open
Ulead Gif fx2, Nickelodeon, 10 frames. Save as a gif
and remember the location where you save it.
Do the
same with the second small image.
